FAQs
General Services
What kind of writing services do you offer for incarcerated individuals?
We provide customized writing support including legal documentation (letters to judges, DAs, and lawyers), reentry resumes, job placement, job application support, parole and clemency pleas, personal statements, family letters, and post-release planning materials. We also offer support in telling and publishing life stories and works of fiction.
Do you help formerly incarcerated individuals too?
Absolutely. Whether you’re currently incarcerated or transitioning out, we’re here to support you in rewriting your story with dignity, purpose, and power.
Do you help publish inmate stories or books?
Yes! Through our publishing imprint, RIA JAY Publishing, we help bring powerful stories to life—from handwritten drafts to printed books. We offer ghostwriting, developmental editing, formatting, cover design, and publishing support.
Job Placement & Employment Support
Do you offer job placement for individuals reentering society?
Yes. Through our staffing partners, we offer employment support primarily in the hospitality industry. If someone has experience or interest in other sectors, we’ll explore opportunities that match their strengths and long-term goals. Our aim is to support meaningful and sustainable employment—not just a job, but a path forward.
How do you determine job placement?
Each individual completes a brief intake interview where we take time to understand their background, strengths, experience, and personal goals. From there, we determine the most aligned placement path so everyone—client, employer, and our team—shares the same vision and expectations. This process helps ensure the best fit and long-term success.
Is job placement guaranteed?
While we cannot guarantee a specific job, we do guarantee that we will work hard to find the best placement possible for every person in our program. Our greatest goal is to make sure you are fully prepared and supported to take on a role seriously and effectively. Onsite training is available for most positions, and we remain in communication throughout the process to help navigate any early challenges.
Turnaround & Revisions
How quickly do you complete letters, resumes, or other documents?
Most standard documents (letters, statements, resumes) are completed within 5–7 business days.
Do you offer any rush or expedited options?
Yes. For an additional $50 rush fee, we offer expedited delivery within 2–4 business days.
Do you allow revisions or edits after documents are delivered?
Yes, one round of revisions is included with most writing services. For book or novel writing, we include two rounds of editing:
First: Developmental editing to shape your narrative
Second: Polishing for syntax, grammar, and clarity
We take great care to preserve your voice, tone, and message throughout the process.
Payments & Refunds
Payments
We accept all major credit cards, zelle, paypal, venmo, and cashapp.
